Calgary International Auto & Truck Show

Chairperson’s Message - 2011

Welcome to the 2011 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show.

Each year the attendance at our show increases as more and more people come to realize the Auto Show is the best-possible location to get an overview of what the auto industry has to offer for the coming year. It provides a great place to compare vehicle features, examine new model lines and to see what vehicle manufacturers are planning for the future. This year’s show will feature the latest technologies being featured in 2010 models, and even some 2011 models will be on display, together with futuristic concept vehicles.

The Auto Show is a terrific place to compare and shop. Many of our member dealers offer “Auto Show Specials”, and their professional sales personnel are on hand to assist you in evaluating vehicles and negotiating a great deal.

Immediately preceding the 2011 Auto Show we will once again, stage one of Calgary’s premiere social and charitable events – the Vehicles and Violins Gala. The Gala features musicians of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, refreshments, an international selection of wonderful food, the highly popular Silent and Live Auctions, and an exclusive preview of the Show.

The 12th Annual Vehicles and Violins Gala takes place on the evening of Tuesday, March 8th, and will continue the tradition of providing a major boost to selected Calgary charities, with the beneficiaries of this year’s event being the Alzheimer Society of Calgary & Inn from the Cold. Vehicles and Violins, which began in the year 2000, has now raised close to $2.000,000 for charities and this year is expected to add substantially to that total! I look forward to seeing you at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park, March 9th through 13th, for an outstanding 2011 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show!

Sincerely,

Paul Williams, Chairman
